Tutorial

This tutorial will show you all the basic functions of  the AMI Dataset catalogues.

The first group of exercises can be performed by anyone as they only require 'read' privileges.
We explain:
  1. how data is organized in AMI, and where AMI gets information
  2. how to use the options for the Simple Search options based on keywords.
  3. how to use the advanced search interface to set up a query based on a sub group of dataset metadata values.
  4. how you can navigate around the results to see all the information stored in AMI.
  5. how you can refine the results of a query.
  6. how you can use the powerful search refining options to set up any query you like on the AMI dataset catalogues
  7. some other AMI functions.
    • registering as an AMIUser (essential for access to writing functions)
    • making bookmarks to your query results
    • getting output from AMI

  8. your first steps with the pyAMI web service client.

The complete tutorial takes about 90 minutes.
